Chicken V Lidcombe
About This Spot
Stepping into Chicken V Lidcombe, you’re greeted by an inviting, lively space that feels like a neighbourhood gem where the hum of contented chatter meets the warm aroma of sizzling chicken. The setting strikes a balance between casual comfort and a vibrant pulse, perfect for gatherings with friends or a relaxed meal that satisfies those cravings for something deeply familiar but with a Korean twist.
The mood here moves at an easy, welcoming pace — nothing rushed, just attentive enough to make you feel looked after without interrupting the flow of conversation or the pleasure of waiting for your food. Whether you arrive early or later in the evening, the atmosphere hums with quiet energy, the kind that comes from good food shared in good company.
What makes Chicken V distinctive isn’t just the perfectly crispy exterior of its fried chicken but how it invites you to explore a variety of flavours and textures alongside each bite. You might find yourself drawn to the comforting warmth of soft tofu seafood soup or indulging in the lively kick of a fiery spicy chicken, balanced thoughtfully with sides that bring extra depth — think crisp chicken skin or the gentle creaminess of corn cheese. There’s a wonderful human touch here too, in the way dishes arrive promptly, with portions generous enough to encourage sharing and conversation over the table.
Beyond the food, the sense of being cared for shapes much of the experience. The staff’s thoughtful attentiveness never feels intrusive; instead, it creates a space where simple pleasures – a cold coffee beer, the nostalgic comfort of kimchi fried rice, or the unexpected delight of boneless chicken feet – become moments worth lingering over. It’s a spot where you can trust the flavours and the people behind the counter, ensuring each visit feels like a small, familiar celebration.

Amazing food, great service. The chicken is top notch. Went a second time today, this place really does it for the fried chicken cravings. Personal favourite is the creamy onion and chilli mayo fried chicken, goes perfectly with a pint of fresh beer. Tried the sizzling intestines and chicken feet out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. Chicken feet was completely boneless, gelatinous and full of collagen. Intestine was crispy on the outside and rich on the inside, perfect bee snack.

Amazing Korean fried chicken joint. We got a seat immediately and the food came out quick. The prices were reasonable and the portions were massive. I would highly recommend the crazy spicy sauce if you want a bit of heat and the corn cheese. It’s got such a nice toasty flavouring to the cheese which makes it so tasty. The chicken was fresh tender and very juicy. We also got jaja ramen and tteokboki to round out the dishes. Will definitely be back if we have another craving for Korean fried chicken.

This place makes very tasty Korean fried chicken with excellent customer service. I pre-ordered one whole fried chicken and half a sweet chilli chicken right after they opened for dinner and picked it up about 1.5 hours later. The male staff member was very kind and had my order ready exactly on time. My guests were pleasantly surprised by the crunchiness and flavour of the chicken. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re hosting guests who would like to try authentic Korean fried chicken.

The lady working there was lovely and kind. The freshly fried chicken was tasty, and the fish cake soup, though unexpected, had a delicious broth. The rosé pasta was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that’s alright. It’s a nice spot for a late-night snack.

The staff were amazing and accommodating. They were super kind and moved the tables to accommodate for 9 people. We went it pretty late so the atmosphere was pretty cool, my friends and I enjoyed going here. The food was amazing! We ordered the rose Tteokkbokki, the egg soup, snow cheese and soy cheese chicken. The portions could’ve been a little bigger but other than that I was happy.

We stumbled upon this little Korean restaurant as we were craving for some KFC- Korean Fried Chicken after watching so many K dramas We were not disappointed, food came out pretty fast, and on par! Kids were so happy with the fried chicken!!! Great service, great food, the music in the background was not what we were expecting. It would have been nice if it was Korean music ( even though we wouldn't be able to understand it). Thank you for the great food!

Visiting Chicken V in Lidcombe was an enjoyable experience. Upon entering, I was welcomed by a modern and clean interior that had a vibrant, yet warm ambiance. The service was prompt and professional, with staff that was attentive, helpful, and friendly. They took the time to explain the menu and offer their suggestions, creating an inviting atmosphere for both first-time visitors and regulars. The star of the show was, of course, the food. The chicken was cooked to perfection - succulent, juicy, and packed with flavors that had a perfect balance of spices. The variety in the menu offered plenty of options for both the chicken lovers and those who wanted to try something different. Sides such as their signature fries and coleslaw complemented the mains well. Portions were generous and gave great value for the price. The presentation of the food was thoughtful and appealing to the eye.
